For students not transitioning to a two or four year college, InVEST has made scholarships available to assist students with licensing, IIA courses, CISR or ACSR.

  • The InVEST Silent Auction will once again be held during the Big “I” Legislative Conference and Convention April 25-27, 2012 in Washington, D.C. and InVEST needs your help to continue the success of past auctions by donating to the 2012 Silent Auction.
    100% of auction proceeds contribute to the InVEST scholarship fund which provides scholarship dollars to InVEST graduates pursuing insurance related careers or studies at two or four year universities.
  • InVEST program relies on the commitment of our volunteers and teachers to bring insurance to life for students.  Congratulations and thanks go to the following individuals:
  • Each year InVEST awards scholarships to students who have completed the InVEST program and are going to further their education by studying risk, finance, insurance or a business related course.  InVEST also helps students taking entry-level courses that are entering the workforce directly after school.
  • Thank you 2010 donors, auction supporters and the Big "/"National Young Agents Committee. Because of your support, InVEST Awarded $56,500 in Student Scholarships for InVEST graduates pursuing insurance industry careers.

Classroom to Career Scholarship Information

Do you have plans to go directly into the workforce after high school? If so, the "Classroom to Career" scholarship has your name written all over it. For students not transitioning to a two or four year college, InVEST has made scholarships available to assist students with licensing, IIA courses, CISR or ACSR.

*Must be participating in a high school InVEST class and pursuing a career in insurance, risk management, actuarial science or business. Each applicant must submit the following:

  • A completed/signed 2012 InVEST Scholarship Application (This form grants InVEST the right to publicize and print any or all of the student’s entry and/or photograph.)
  • At least two different letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors, liaisons, mentors, etc.
  • A 500 word typewritten essay which should include details on the following:
    - the benefits of having participated in InVEST
    - plans for further insurance education and/or career plans and how these plans were influenced by InVEST
    - other activities that demonstrate the student’s interests and abilities like academic honor societies,  sports, extracurricular activities, internships, after-school jobs, etc.
  • A copy of current school transcript which includes grade point average to date
  • A non-returnable photograph OPTIONAL (an original class picture preferred, not scanned)

***Entries are judged on creativity, content, format, grammar, spelling, punctuation and neatness. All entries become property of InVEST. Entries can be submitted year round and will be reviewed within 60 days of receipt.  They should be mailed to:
